Maureen Podvrsan, MS CCC-SLP is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist.  She received both her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology at Marquette University.              

She began her career in the Schaumburg school district working in an elementary school with children preschool through sixth grade.  She provides assessment and treatment of a variety of communication disorders, incorporating specialized program design to meet individual needs.  In 2000, she began working in private practice where she continues to provide services to children and adolescents, ages 2- 18, with various needs including cognitive disabilities, apraxia, phonological disorders, and receptive and expressive language disorders. 

Maureen’s areas of specialty include early language and phonology development, the language-literacy connection, and speech sound production.

She has been trained in Fast ForWord and Lindamood Bell’s Visualizing/Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking (V/V).

Maureen is licensed in the state of Illinois.  She is a certified member, in good standing, of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and the Illinois Speech-Language Hearing Association (ISHA).  She holds a Type 10 Special Teaching Certificate in Illinois.
